Before & After School Care
The school day runs from 8:30 AM to 3:15 PM, but All Day students may arrive as early as 7:30 AM and stay until 5:30 PM.
Students who arrive before school are greeted by a Montessori teacher and gather with classmates in the school’s multipurpose room. Children can spend this time playing with friends or quietly reading a book as they prepare for the day ahead. The teacher then walks before school children to their classrooms for the start of the school day.
After school time is spent in the care of a Montessori teacher or classroom assistant in both the school’s multipurpose room and outdoors, weather permitting. The time includes a mix of coordinated activities such as games, songs, and crafts along with unstructured playtime. The children enjoy the time to play together using the puzzles, toys, building blocks and other activities in the room.
Children in the after school program must be picked up by 5:30 PM. There is a late charge for parents who do not comply with the required pick-up time.
