Programs at The Glen Montessori
The Glen Montessori School offers a range of programs for children 8 weeks old through Grade 3. All programs are staffed by trained Montessori teachers who guide students through age appropriate yet challenging works. All programs spend time outside everyday in our playgrounds or gardens, weather permitting, as the environment is important to a Montessori education.
Wrap Around Services
The Glen offers Wrap Around Services to serve the childcare needs of our families:
- The school day runs from 8:30 AM to 3:15 PM, but All Day students may arrive as early as 7:30 AM and stay until 5:30 PM. Before school and afterschool time is spent in the care of a Montessori teacher or classroom assistant. During this time, students have the opportunity to work on a craft with a Montessori teacher or perhaps do a puzzle with a friend. There are also games, songs and other activities facilitated by teachers.
- The Bridge to Families program offers child care on selected school closure days as noted on the school calendar. This program is intended to help “bridge” the childcare needs of families (Modified All Day & All Day) that results from the Glen operating on a school calendar. The Infant and Toddler programs are year-round so Bridge to Families days are included in those programs at no additional cost.
- The Glen provides an eleven (11) week Summer Camp Program serving Primary, Extended Day and Elementary students ages 2.7 through 8. The Infant and Toddler programs are year-round so Summer Camp days are included in those programs at no additional cost.
